Pauline Roger gave a presentation of the her role as European Project Manager of Inspire4Nature to the MAD team, at our host lab the Centre d’Ecologie Fonctionnelle et Evolutive, in Montpellier, France. Aimed at an audience of researchers, her presentation covered the whole project cycle, from building the consortium, to implementation, to reporting. A behind-the-scenes perspective of the many facets of managing a large international consortium!
As part of Training Session 4 – Theory & practice of communicating at the science-policy interface – Inspire4Nature fellows are now receiving training on how to communicate about scientific results to a broad, non-specialised, audience.

We are happy to annouce that from 21st to 25th September 2020, the Inspire4Nature fellows will join the Global Goal Weeks – celebrating the 5th anniversary of the Sustainable Development Goals – to showcase their respective projects.
To do so, each one of them will post a short video, presenting their project and highlighting the links with the Sustainable Development Goals and/or the Aichi targets and/or the post2020 Biodiversity framework.
This event is fully online and each day from September 21st to 25th, three of them will post their videos through our Twitter account (@Inspire4Nature).

New article shows protected areas are contributing significantly to the conservation of rare & threatened birds across tropical biodiversity hotspots. Led by Victor Cazalis (University of Montpellier), the study was co-authored by former Inspire4Nature fellow Joseph Kelly and by Inspire4Nature senior scientists Stu Butchart and Ana Rodrigues.

Inspire4Nature fellow Prabhat Raj Dahal, and senior scientists Stuart Butchart, Paul F. Donald and Carlo Rondinini are co-authors of the article entitled A global map of terrestrial habitat types, led by Martin Jung (IIASA).
