Inspire4Nature fellow Matt Ford participated in the European Ichthyology Congress which took place from 2 to 6 September 2019 in Lausanne, bringing together some of the world’s foremost ichthyologists. Matt made an oral presentation and also participated in a poster.
In his talk, Matt presented results that suggest the conservation status of native freshwater fish species in the Maghreb region is undergoing a serious decline. The abstract of Matt’s presentation can be found here.
Matt also had the opportunity to present a poster entitled ‘New Red List assessments proposed for recently-described freshwater fish species in Greece’ alongside Greek colleagues.
